FirstLeaf is a wine club we have been using for a while, and we love it so much that we decided to share it with you. Everything starts with taking a short quiz to allow them to understand your tasting profile. A few days after you’ve completed the quiz your custom intro order will arrive at your home. After that, it is just a game of rating the wines and receiving unique custom boxes of wine every month. Oh, you can always purchase from their selection without having to join the club. However, you get so many perks for joining that you wouldn't want to miss out. Enough talking, if you would like to learn more about the club, click here. I hope you enjoy our selection below of the most awarded wines under $30 from FirstLeaf, and don't forget to leave us comment down below with your feedback. Cheers!

A 91 point, Best of Show, Double Gold medal-winning New World take on an Old World grape. The Luxana Viognier has a beautiful floral bouquet and rich flavors of peaches, apricots, and rose petals. The aromas in the wine make it easy for pairing with a wide variety of seafood as well as grilled and roasted meats. Our ideal pairing is fresh fish with a salsa verde or a complex seafood soup. It will even pair well with spicy dishes.

Peek into the Italian south through the 92 Point, Gold medal-winning Lupo Ridere Vino Rosso. This complex wine is a fantastic accompaniment to hearty meals. Pairing with game meat like venison or even a leg of lamb will bring out the fruit characteristics in the wine. The complexity of the wine— red fruits mingling with earthy notes followed by a balanced and smooth finish— helps make it a versatile choice for almost any meal.

Experience a more subtle take on a Spanish Red in the Imported Wine of the year, 94 point, Platinum Medal release from Doble de Diez. Spanish wines can be a bit too bold, but the Doble de Diez flips the script. This is an elegant wine with restrained fruit flavors of pomegranate and cherry that play off the more interesting notes of chocolate, coconut, and tomato leaf. We've been enjoying this as much with food as on its own.

One of this year’s highlights, taste the 96 Point, “Best of Class,” Double Gold medal-winning blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay from the Russian River Valley. In this amazing blend, the Chardonnay adds roundness and creaminess to the wine. Sauvignon Blanc provides the freshness. 2018 was a cooler year so the grapes in this already cool climate retained beautiful acidity. The Golderidge soils really nurtured these grapes and we love the tastes of mango, pineapple, grapefruit, and white flowers.

Embrace the crisp acidity in this 98 Point, “Best of Class,” Double Gold medal-winning South African Chenin Blanc. Chenin Blanc is one of the most loved grapes in South Africa and used to make everything from brandy to traditional wines. We love this Chenin Blanc for its beautiful notes of apple, lime, and white flowers.
