It was a below zero-day and the details of the frost on this horse's nose inspired me to capture this image. There was an intensity I felt from this horse and the photograph seemed to capture the cold and stillness after the storm had ended. The contrast between the black horse and the fresh snow created a dramatic image of beauty and detail.
